Sumidero Canyon

The Sumidero Canyon a river canon on the Grijalva River near Chiapa de Corzo. River level is up to 1km from the mountain tops. I wa surprised to discover it actually flows into a hydro-electric dam as it comes out of the canyon which provides some huge amount of Mexico City's electricity.

We went down the canyon by boat which was powered by two huge 300hp outboards, so we had 600hp of power, the boat went stupidly fast when he put his foot down. (I'm a bloke, I'm suppose to like over powered craft)

The canyon is full of wildlife. Lots and lots of birds, monkeys, crocodiles. All the interesting things. A very interesting trip
